random perfection discussion

Dave A friend of mine believes she is perfect and no longer sins because of Jesus.

Are we sin free, are we perfect or do we still sin and if we do does this mean we don't have Jesus?

Please provide all or any scripture.

Me- 1 Jn.2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous

Dave Tremblay Will Hindsman, so you believe you no longer sin, you are perfect?

Me At least you put a question mark following your assertion! I simpley quoted John would you have given him the same responce? The only way one fulfills Torah is by AtonementS provided by G-D himself. People lead of the spirit find no pleasure in sin and the gospel is in no way a license to sin. Messiah was the Perfect man. The bible does speak about perfect faith which is basically faith that bares fruit (walking in covenant). This is how Abraham was justified (by Grace through Faith). We can discern that someone who is committing abominations is Not in covenant and one who embraces hibitual sin is not in covenant. Yet as the verse stated above If (when) you stray (fall short) you have need of Teshuva (repentance / to return). For we are told "Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin" & "But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death."

One lead of the spirit is immediately drawn to Teshuva whenever they acknowledge that they have transgressed (Heb.6). One who goes out to transgress (knowing its a transgression) obviously isnt in covenant. My perfection isnt based on me attempting to justify myself by the law (Gal.2:16; 5:4). I Love Torah Because it is life and the ways of righteousness. Its the knowledge of sin (Rom.3:20/ Gal.3:24) and thus draws me to embrace the straight path (not because it makes me perfect). The Almighty is the one who justifies me according to His righteous standard which involves Atonement. And it is said that the overcomers are those who keep the commandments of G-d and have the testimony of Yeshua (Jesus) Rev.14:12; 12:17 (thus im not UNDER the Penalty of the Law as long as I have atonement and dont strive against my creator) If you Embrace a sin without repentance (rejecting atonement/ rejecting G-d) then you are under the wage for the sin. When G-d forgives you of a sin he doesnt remember it anymore and doesnt want u to raising it back up to him or to return to it. (Is.43:25/ Heb.8:12; 10:17/ 1 Jn.1:9/ 2 Pet. 3:9/ Ps.51 !)...... If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.... The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. ......... So I know its possible for me to go through the day without sinning but that isnt gonna justify me for all have sinned rather its by His perfection that i may be counted justified/ Thats why its called GRACE- unmrited, undeserving favor. So if i go around saying I dont sin Im perfect I am righteous and by My works am I established then I would be outside of Grace and one mentioned in 1 Jn1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.... Now "go and sin no more" http://friendsnchrist.ning.com/.../2993852:BlogPost:43377
