lol it doesnt lead to retardation or autism (what an off the wall comment). It would have made no sense to have been made this way cause it was a sign of the covenant. People arent born into the covenant (made with Israel) they have to choose to embrace it and circumcision is a sign of being in that (set apart). The literal physical circumcision is said to actually have health benifits such as:
A decreased risk of urinary tract infections.
A reduced risk of some sexually transmitted diseases in men.
Protection against penile cancer and a reduced risk of cervical cancer in female sex partners./ Also there is a spiritual circumcision (of the heart) which again is a Change that takes place ("being born again").
